So here we are with a new blog. I’ve been neglecting my bloggy ways for a few years now, minus my short-lived music blog of last year, but I feel like it’s time for a new blog. Maybe because I got a shiny new second hand laptop, maybe cause I’m getting ready to move to the big city. Anyways, whatever the reason, my heart or my shoes, I’m gonna start this new blog, hating the whos, commenting on the news, singing the blues, and being a hipster in denial tres plus.
So to start the blog off, I may as well explain my life as it is at the moment, to help you detect my biases and whatnot. I’m working towards getting into theatre school, with one unsuccessful U of T audition down, four successful ones to go, and one no-work-needed acceptance to Ottawa U. I’m hoping to get into George Brown in the Artillery District in Toronto, but that’s high hoping.
I’m working at Bridghead and becoming more and more of a snob because of it, but hey, I get free coffee, and a plethora of staff parties, so fuck you and your Nabob. But seriously, I love the job, though I won’t tell you that after a Monday night close. I hope I can find as good a coffeeshop to work at in Toronto.
I’m only in two courses for my final semester of highschool. Canadian Literature is awesome, full of tea-drinking talks about literature and whatnot. World Issues is challenging but I feel like a better person now that I can have an opinion, and that’s probably where rants will spring up from.
All-in-all I’m ready for the switch from highschool to University, and this blog is gonna be full of stuff about that, so probably, if you don’t know me, this time around you’ll be less inclined to read. Really, I’m counting on my hits consisting of Morgan and Gabe, but if you’re interested, feel free to dip your fit into my angsty teenage blog, I promise not to bite, cause I’ve been socialized not to bite. GET IT?

ReplyDeleteand yes, you are a bit of a snob. but i wouldn't have you any other way, dear. you give me someone to shoot down :D
oh, and you need to inform me what kind of literature you're reading. i'm always on the lookout for good canadian books/authors.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you don't count as a "hipster in denial" if you openly admit to being a hipster.
ReplyDeleteLove, Ramona
P.S. It's called the Distillery District. Y'know, because of the distillery.
